MaNo is active in the development and testing of gas sensors based on organic and inorganic semiconductors. Contact : Driss Lahem Materia Nova (MaNo) is an accredited Belgian research and innovation centre, active in the development of advanced and breakthrough technologies in the field of sustainable materials, multifunctional surfaces, materials for energy and biotechnology (www.materianova.be). As part of the @CleanAirBouw project, which aims to improve indoor air quality, Materia Nova will be making two major contributions. On the one hand, the centre will be participating in the optimisation of sensitive layers and the choice of precise sensors for the continuous monitoring of pollutants present in indoor air, such as formaldehyde, VOCs, NO2 and CO. Materia Nova will also be involved in the functional and structural characterisation of the sensors. MaNo will also be involved in adapting and optimising hybrid sol-gel or paint coatings to incorporate active micro-organisms/enzymes developed by partner UMONS-GPRO for the decomposition of formaldehyde and BTEX (Toluene, Benzene, etc.) pollutants. |
