Cross-border cooperation

CleanAirBouw is part of cross-border cooperation based on the complementary skills of all its partners:

• UGent, UMons, UNamur, ULille and ULCO worked together on the development of treatment processes by coupling technologies for industrial effluents (Interreg V DepollutAir),
• Materia Nova worked on the development of coatings for the degradation of VOCs in air (Interreg V TEXACOV),
• Cluster Ecoconstruction collaborated extensively on a project aimed at training professionals in indoor air quality in buildings (Interreg V EtAir),
• Cerema has considerable expertise in the field of indoor air quality (identification of sources of pollution, both indoor and outdoor, measurement of air pollutants, etc.). Part of its mission is to raise awareness and provide training for both the general public (schoolchildren, residents) and public players (local authorities, government departments).

This complementarity of skills is a major asset in achieving healthier, more sustainable housing.
